Profile Tips & advice

A picture says a thousand words as the old adage goes and in the
dating world never has a saying had so much truth.
Having studied our member replies over the last twelve months
we can reveal that 98% of replies are to adverts with good
quality photos.

The most common complaint is from members without a photo who do not
get many replies to their adverts.
This is a simple fact of life. With a good picture, nice smile and a
good advert you will go a long way to making that good first impression.

Your advert represents you. An empty advert and no photo shows you have
no desire to describe yourself so why should anyone pay any interest?

Creating a personal profile can be a daunting task.
Thinking of things to say about yourself whilst at the same time
persuading other members to take a more in depth look at you,
and ultimately contact you can be tricky.

This part will help and has been created to give you a few pointers
towards the best way to create a profile that will give you the
best possible chance of finding your perfect match.

When writing your profile it should be accurate and honest,
adding a photo will increase the number of responses you receive.
A good description should contain details of your lifestyle,
interests and attributes.

When choosing a photo to add to your profile, pick a good quality recent one
that shows you smiling or happy, choose one of you on your own unless
profile shows you as a couple.
In the ‘looking for’ box include qualities that you want in a person
and what you are expecting of in a future relationship.
You should spell-check your profile before submitting also
try not to write it in all capitals as this can be difficult to read.

What you should try to include:
Good recent photograph(s)
Your likes and dislikes
Any regular activities
Favourite films, music & interests
What you are expecting from any future relationship

What NOT to include:
Your telephone Number
Your e-mail address
Your postal Address
Your place of work
Web site addresses
Any bank Details
